Jim Andersen

Jim Andersen, CEO and President

Jim has over twenty-six (26) years of hands-on experience developing high technology sensing systems for Defense and Industry, ranging from technical to executive levels.  As the Director for Litton’s Fiber Optic Acoustic Systems’ Strategic Business Unit he grew revenue by over 1000% from 1995 to 2002, and captured the first fiber optic sonar production contract on the US Navy’s newest nuclear-powered Virginia class submarines, valued at over $400M.

His previous experience includes managing the development and production of numerous Navy sonar and oilfield seismic systems.  Jim holds 6 patents in sensing systems and optics, is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, and served as an Engineering Officer on US nuclear-powered submarines.  Jim also serves on the Board of Directors of multiple national companies and trade organizations.

Eric Goldner, CTO and Vice President

Eric has more than twenty-two (22) years experience in the design of fiber optic acoustic systems, MEMS, Integrated Optics, optical sources, and fiber optic gyros.  Eric spent 15 years in Litton's Guidance and Control Division, serving as the Technical Director on their all-optical submarine Conformal Acoustic Velocity Sonar (CAVES), and as Manager of the team that designed and built Litton's automated fiber optic hydrophone assembly stations.  He was responsible for the development and transition to manufacturing of the sensor arrays and source optics controls of the Light Weight Wide Aperture Array (LWWAA) for the Navy's Virginia class submarines.

Goldner has also taught optics, physics and fiber optic technology at Moorpark College.  He holds a BSME (1982), and an MS in Electrical Engineering (1986), both from Tufts University.  Eric has published over 18 technical papers, and has authored 23 patents related to optical sensors and systems.
